Shipping guide

Buying a fursuit internationally: worldwide shipping, customs & VAT

Bernese fullsuit ready to ship

Fursuit Hub works with clients and ships worldwide. Here’s what buyers in any country should plan for. This is general guidance, not tax advice — rules change, so check your local customs authority.

Shipping and insurance

A fursuit is bulky and valuable. Shipping and insurance are quoted on top of the suit price. We recommend always insuring your suit — it’s a one-of-a-kind item.

Customs, VAT and duties

When a suit crosses a border, your country may charge import VAT/sales tax, duties and a handling fee from the carrier. At Fursuit Hub these are the buyer’s responsibility. Budget for them before you commission.

Buyers in the United States

Imports may be subject to duties and carrier fees. Check the current rules with U.S. Customs and Border Protection or ask the carrier for an estimate.

Buyers in the United Kingdom

Since Brexit, goods from the EU are imports. Expect possible import VAT and a carrier handling fee on delivery. HMRC publishes current rates.

Buyers in the European Union

Rules depend on where the suit ships from and to. VAT may apply depending on destination; your quote will make clear what is included.

Tips for a smooth delivery

  • Use your full legal name and a phone number for the carrier.
  • Be available to pay any fees so the parcel isn’t returned.
  • Open and check the suit promptly — construction issues reported promptly can be repaired under our warranty.
